The Reason Behind Science Fairs

The best part about being young is that your mind is so wide open. There is very little doubt when it comes to building something or creating something great. The main reason so many schools have Science Fairs is so your children will tap into their young creativity. When someone tells you that mixing compounds creates a reaction you usually believe them but it doesn't really stick in your mind until you experience it for yourself. Many kids that are good at Science grow up to be very successful in life. If you want your child to be successful you have to teach them that they can do anything.

Some of the best first grade projects at Science Fairs are the ones where you can see a reaction. Volcanoes are awesome because anyone can build one and it is simple to make the volcano explode. Two simple compounds like baking soda and vinegar creates an amazing reaction. It seems that more and more kids are doing projects that are related to the environment. Building an ecosystem and having it work is quite an amazing accomplishment for a child. Environmental Science is very important to the world today.

Most people don't realize that astronomy also makes a great project for Science Fairs. There is so much that we can learn from the stars. Understanding the rotation of the earth and the reason the stars are the way they are all ties into understanding the universe. Some kids prefer sports to science but they actually work together in many aspects. Understanding your bodies amazing physical abilities also ties into Science and Biology. Many kids that are interested in Science grow up to be great in Engineering or other amazing careers.

There is a reason why Science Fairs are so important in our schools. The main reason is because they open kids minds so that they can learn to accomplish anything. It is so important to understand our bodies, space and the world around us. Teaching kids to be aware of the environment and helping them understand everything around them is all part of Science. These events create an atmosphere where children can experience Science on their own. When anyone experiences things hands on they are much more prepared and have a greater understanding of how things work. Once you understand how things work your mind opens up to many possibilities.
